I’ve been DIYing for years and believe that if a jobs worth doing it's worth doing properly. I’m not in the trades and I mainly sit in front of computers all day so to build or construct something at the weekends is great.

I started DIYing as matter of necessity after buying a property to renovate, at the time it was the only route on to the property market. I’ve lowered ceilings, built partition walls, installed down lights, built decking, laid laminate floors, tiled walls you name it, I think I’ve done most of it.

Hopefully my hubs are of some use to you.
